Send bulk SMS text messages using Outlook
With our Outlook Mobile Service you can send bulk SMS text messages directly from within Microsoft Outlook 2007 and later versions, and from Microsoft SharePoint 2010.
How the Outlook Mobile Service works
After configuring Outlook (see the steps below) you can choose one or multiple contacts from your Outlook Address Book or Global Address List, and then select "Send Text Message" from the menu. Outlook will display a small window into which you type your SMS text message. Upon pressing the "Send" button, Outlook submits the SMS text message for delivery via our SMS gateway.
Four simple steps to configure Outlook Mobile Service
Step 1 - Click on the OMS link
Click on this link oms:https://www.csoft.co.uk/oms to launch the OMS Prototocol Handler. Press the Yes button when asked: "Do you want to add an account in Microsoft Office Outlook for this Web service?"
Step 2 - Configure your OMS account
Enter your Connection Software Username and PIN in the Logon Information area. Your Username and PIN were sent you by email and SMS when you signed-up for your account. You can also view them in the Contact Information section of your Account Centre when you are logged in to your account. Press OK to save the configuration and then close Outlook.
Step 3 - Create a new Text Message
Restart Outlook and then choose File -> New -> Text Message from the menu.
Step 4 - Compose and send your message
Choose a contact from your Address Book or enter a new number in the To: input field. Compose your message in the text area and see the message preview. Press the Send button when you are ready to send the message.
