Many ringtones are performances of copyright musical works and as such fees have to be paid for every ringtone sold. The fees are approximately 15% of the resale price. |

In many countries copyright last for 50-70 years after the author's death, the exact period depends on the country. |

Most traditional songs and much religious music is free of copyright. |

We pay the copyright fees for all ringtones that we source. We ask all contributors to confirm if the material they contribute is in or out of copyright. |
