The status message gives you the latest information that
we have about how far the message has moved towards being
delivered to the handset.
On the website the messages are coloured to indicate progress.
Green indicates that the message
has been delivered or that it has been accepted by a Network
Operator that does not provide "delivered to phone" status.
Amber indicates that the message
is on its way and further status information is expected.
Red indicates that the message
could not be delivered.
| Status Message |
Meaning |
| Accepted by phone |
The message has been confirmed as delivered to the destination
handset. |
| Accepted
by Network |
The message has been delivered to a Mobile Network Operator

whether or not it was actually able to deliver the message.
This is not uncommon with US
networks. |

| Invalid number |
The destination phone number that was given was invalid.
For example numbers starting with 00 or 011 are usually

Recipients can opt-out
of receiving messages by replying with a message starting
with any of the words "STOP", LEAVE, "QUIT, "OFF" or "END". |
| Rejected by SMSC |
The Mobile Network Operator that the message was passed
to reported immediately that it was unable to deliver the
message. This usually indicates that we cannot deliver
to the specified Country or Network - but sometimes indicates
that the ability of a Network Operator to deliver has changed
and we have failed to keep up with events. |
| SMSC cannot deliver |
The Mobile Network Operator that the message was passed
to tried to deliver the message but was unable to do so.
This usually indicates that the number found to be invalid
