What is an Autoresponder

Every time anyone sends an SMS message to Connection
Software's Autoresponder, they will immediately get
a response back.
The message they get back might be a simple text
message or it can include one or more image, ringtones,
movies or other files.
The message that the Autoresponder sends can be "static" unchanging
information or it could be information which changes
- slowly or rapidly. Either way the Autoresponder returns
the latest available information.

When is an Autoresponder appropriate
|
When a mobile user needs to get information rapidly
and the request from the user can be expressed simply
in one or two words.

Using an autoresponder - Estate Agent / Realtor
|
Estate agents / Realtors can use an autoresponder
to provide details of properties. For example texting "rent
edmonton" to
a UK shortcode from an MMS compatible
phone might elicit this response (including the picture)

Using an autoresponder with rapidly changing data
|
Rapidly changing data can be delivered in seconds.
The request "energy

a UK shortcode might elicit the autoresponse

How do I update the information that will be sent back?
|
You can change your data using a simple page on this
website. If you have rapidly changing data then you
can automate the update process by using the "Autoresponder
Update API".

Service Names and Keywords
|
The Service Name is
the first word in a user's message. The second word
is referred to as a Keyword.
You will probably have several Keywords for each Service
Name. For example "rent edmonton", "rent angel", "rent E11" etc.

What are the setup costs?
- Your Connection Software account is free.
- Two-Way Option 1 number setup costs £10. Other
options have different costs.
- Autoresponder setup costs £20.

What are the running costs?
- There are no monthly fixed costs to run an account.
- An Option 1 Two-Way number costs £10 per month.
- Incoming MO messages are charged at £0.01 each.
- Autoresponder costs £20 per month per service name.
- Outgoing MT messages cost £0.085 each at most.
You can reduce the price of MT messages if you have
a Corporate Account. All prices exclude VAT. E&OE.
